Issei Tomine (遠峰 一青, Tōmine Issei) is a renowned wine critic who became the adopted son of Yutaka Kanzaki shortly before his death and set his eyes on Yutaka's huge wine collections

Issei is an attractive young man with short black hair that has bangs swept to the left side and square-rimmed glasses.
Personality[]
Issei has a very serious and delicate personality. As a wine critic, he is labeled a genius and has a unique taste in wine. He made Yutaka Kanzaki adopt him, a week before his death, so that he can inherit his wine collection.
He is often seen as arrogant and cold, but he is in fact extremely hard-working to improve his tasting skills and understanding of wine, enduring great hardship and even risked his own life to further his understanding of Yutaka's descriptions of wine in the will. For example, in the searches of "Drops of God", he traveled in Taklamakan Desert alone, climbed Mont Blanc, participated in multiple Marathons, and attempted deep diving. Issei has dedicated his life to wine to an obsessive degree, and will never lie about any matter related with wine, which is reflected in the fair-mindedness he has shown in his contest with Shizuku Kanzaki.
Plot[]
When Yutaka Kanzaki died, Issei and Shizuku Kanzaki went to his house where both were given his will and that they must find his favorite wines and whoever guess them will receive his wine collection. Shizuku wasn't agreeing much, but had no choice than accept it. They first task was to compete for who had the right to stay in his mansion. Issei correctly guessed the wine, but since Shizuku never had tasted wine before, he got scared from the aroma and left. A week later, Shizuku now drinking wine returned to taste the wine and Robert Doi came as a judge.
Issei's description was correct and he won.

Issei is a masculine Japanese given name.
Trivia[]
- Issei is in fact the illegitimate son of Yutaka Kanzaki and Honoka Tomine, thus Shizuku Kanzaki's half-brother - a fact Issei is aware of and seek to surpass Yukata's legacy, though only a few people (not even Shizuku and Sara) know this secret.
