Shizuku Kanzaki (神咲 雫, Kanzaki Shizuku) is the protagonist of The Drops of God. He is an employee at Sun Beer beverages and the son of the world-renowned wine critic Yutaka Kanzaki.

Shizuku is a young man with short brown hair.
Personality[]
As he grew, his father trained him into wine tasting, but never let him actually drink wine, instead he made him taste various things like licking knives. Shizuku ended up hating wines and things related to them. But as his father died, he ended up drinking wine for the first time in his life and was fascinated. He got more interested into wine tastes and decided to protect his father's collection.
Plot[]
Shizuku was on a meeting for potential sell, but as he showcased how a wine tastes better, he ended up insulting the customer, who got annoyed and broke the deal. On the next day, he was proposed to join the newly opened wine division, and while he was hesitant, he ended up later accepting.
He received the news of the death of his father, who had pancreas cancer, but had it hidden from him. When he went into his house, he was given his father's will and he learned he had adopted another man as son. He ended in competition to recognize a wine with Issei Tomine, but ended up losing as he was afraid to taste the wine and lost the right to live in the house.
Shizuku went to Miyabi Shinohara, a sommelier he met earlier. As he talked with her and her teacher, he got convinced to taste a wine for the first time and he enjoyed it. He then decided with Miyabi's help to fulfill his father's will and obtain his wine collection.
